May's Tanka

Taken on the magical Blue Ridge Parkway en route to experience the blue ghost fireflies in the Pisgah Forest. And, no, I will not miss an opportunity for a good photo, even if I’m driving. Brevard, NC. May 2024.

The nestling robin says,

The sun-drenched seedling says,
I may further inch my way.

I recorded this in my backyard at dusk with a chorus of chittering chimney sweeps, crickets, and cardinals.
